Falling lumber kills worker in Grande Prairie

A 30 year old man has been killed at a work site in Grande Prairie. RCMP say he was working in a transfer yard in the area of 94th Avenue and Park Road when a load of lumber fell off a trailer and crushed him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday morning. Federal labour investigators are looking into the incident, as it falls under their jurisdiction.
