Grande Prairie man killed in foggy Highway 63 crash

A 39 year old Grande Prairie man has been killed in a multi-vehicle crash near Boyle on Saturday. RCMP say a semi truck was crossing Highway 55 at the intersection with Highway 63 when it was hit by a van. Two other trucks crashed into each other nearby, including the one driven by the GP man.

A short distance away there was another pile up involving another van and three semi trucks. There was reportedly thick fog in the area at the time, but a full investigation is underway with the help of an RCMP collision analyst.

The name of the deceased has not been released. Three other people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
