RCMP release surveillance photos of bank robbery suspect

RCMP in Fort St. John have released several surveillance photos of the suspect in Monday’s bank robbery. The man was wearing blue safety gear with reflective stripes and a black balaclava over his face. While the photos are fairly low quality, police are hoping someone may recognize the person in them and report it to the detachment.

The Scotiabank robbery happened around 4:30 p.m. on January 16th. The suspect fled using the back door and ran down an alley, possibly getting into a black SUV. He was holding what looked like a handgun.

This was the second time in four months that branch has been robbed. It was also targeted by an armed man on September 23rd, 2016.
