UPDATE: RCMP identify Peace River stabbing witness

UPDATE: Peace Regional RCMP have shared a thanks to everyone who shared the photo of a potential witness over the past 24 hours. The woman in the photo was identified within 36 minutes.

RCMP are looking for a woman who may have witnessed a double stabbing in Peace River last month. Two men were found injured at McNamara Liquor Store around 2:30 a.m. on December 17th. They had gone to the shop for help.

A woman was seen at the downtown Fas Gas around 1:55 a.m. and police are hoping to speak with her. She’s described as roughly 5’5″ and 130 pounds with brown or black shoulder length hair. She was driving a dark coloured Chevrolet Cruze.

Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact Peace Regional RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

At the time police were looking for a suspect. He’s described as roughly 6 feet tall and skinny with blonde hair under a black ball cap. He was with a blonde woman believed to be his girlfriend.

The two men who were hurt were a 34 year old from Beaumont and a 29 year old from North Sydney, Nova Scotia. They were taken to hospital in Edmonton and Grande Prairie in stable condition.
