UPDATE: Dawson Creek RCMP have confirmed that the victim and the alleged shooter are known to each other. They don’t consider there to be a threat to the general public.
The shooting happened on 106th Street in Dawson Creek and the suspect appeared in court today. Their name hasn’t been released by police, but a Jordan Lee Hill was in court Friday on charges of attempted murder with a firearm, aggravated assault, and other firearms charges.
RCMP have a suspect in custody after a shooting in Dawson Creek. Officers were called around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday when a woman came to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
She reported being shot at a home in Dawson Creek, and an arrest was made a short time later. No names have been released.
The victim is now being treated in a Vancouver hospital and is considered in stable condition. Extra resources have been called in to help police investigate.
