STARS Air Ambulance is one of several organizations recognizing this week as National Paramedic Services Week. Jamey Myers is a Flight Paramedic and Cilincal Operations Manager with STARS. He feels it is important to recognize the job done by paramedics all across the country.
“Paramedics are trying to get the patient to the hospital, and we are also looking to provide the highest level of care needed.  We access the patient in sometimes very difficult times and in very difficult areas, trying to bring calm to the situation.”
Myers says a paramedics job is two fold. Besides providing the highest level of care possible while getting a patient to a place they need in a time of need, he says paramedics also have to maintain the highest level of training possible.
