Valleyview man charged with Airdrie mall robbery

A Valleyview man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a mall in Airdrie. 37 year old Michael Lloyd is accused of trying to steal more than $500 worth of items from Saks 5th Avenue on December 2nd.

When security confronted the suspect, he dropped the goods and assaulted one of the officers. They suffered minor injuries.

Police released security footage in the hopes someone would recognize the man. Lloyd has since been charged with assault and theft under $5,000 and will appear in Airdrie court on January 10th.
