Teepee Creek student off to Edmonton to spend a day as Environment Minister

One grade 5 student from Teepee Creek and her teacher are off to Edmonton this weekend to take part in the Environment and Sustainable Resource Development Minister for the Day Challenge.

Kylie Binks, along with 12 other Alberta students, will get a chance to meet with Minister Robin Campbell, and find out more about his job.

Binks says she won her spot in the challenge by filling out a booklet about what she would do to keep the environment clean.

“We get to talk about our environment and what we’d do to keep it healthy and safe, and how we’d change it to make it better. I would pick up litter, and not waste water and food.”
