County approves newest four year strategic plan

County council has finalized what they call their road map of what they need to focus on and accomplish over the next four years. Reeve Leanne Beaupre says one of the key topics within their strategic plan is to continue to strengthen their relationships with their municipal partners.
“Especially with the city of Grande Prairie.  We feel we have a strong relationship because of all of the projects on a regional nature.  And we want to continue those relationships, so you will see in the near future, we will be meeting with the city again to talk about priority issues for the city, as well as what are priority issues for us.”
Road paving, annexation, and financial sustainability are also included in the 13 strategic topics highlighted within the plan.
