New Storm coach arrives in city, spends week talking to local prospects

New Storm coach and GM Kevin Higo says the club is going to have to be better in all areas if they hope to return to the playoffs next season. The new bench boss arrived in the city this week. One of his major tasks this week is to meet with local prospects hoping to make the jump to the junior A club.
“I have always been partial to having some local guys.  When we had success in Fort McMurray, we always had 3-4 guys from Fort Mac.  When I was in Brooks, we were always able to have a couple of guys.  This is the first time ever that I have been in a Junior A franchise where we have had a AAA team, a 15 year old team, and a Bantam AAA team.”
Higo admits turning around a team that missed the playoffs for the first time in their history will not happen overnight, and it will take some time to get to where they want to be.
