Whitecourt Wolverines facility fire now a cold case

The case of the Whitecourt Wolverines training facility’s arson has reportedly gone cold. According to the Whitecourt Star, investigators have hit a wall and don’t have any more leads to go on.

The Centre of Excellence was destroyed by fire in February of this year, and the two-year old, state-of-the-art building was considered a total loss. It was later demolished.

RCMP Constable Mark Amatto tells the Star there were no signs of forced entry and they ID’d several persons of interest, but have nothing more to go on. The file would be reopened if new information came forward.
