City Manager attends last council meeting

After 20 years with the City of Grande Prairie, City Manager Greg Scerbak will retire at the end of the month. He attended his last city council meeting last night. The retiree has over 40 years of experience in municipal government and spent the last 8 years of his career as the City Manager. He announced his retirement in July 2016.

Although he is retiring, he isn’t going to leave the Swan City. Scerbak and his wife Terry will be staying in the area. She is the volunteer Program Director of the Reel Shorts Film Festival.

Council members have not yet announced who will take over Scerbak’s position at the council table in 2017.
