The Beaverlodge Blades have pulled out of this year’s North West Junior Hockey League season. The team was scheduled to play the Fort St. John Huskies over the weekend, but let them know ahead of time not to make the trip.
The league announced the folding Monday, and at this point it looks to just be for the rest of the 2016/2017 season. No reason has been given so far.
The squad has a 1-19-1 record for three points, sitting last in the NWJHL.
