Firefighters had to deal with temperatures as cold as minus 30 last night as they battled a blaze in the Swan City Trailer Court. The Grande Prairie Fire Department was called to a mobile home on fire just before 5 p.m. Friday.
By the time crews arrived, people living in the area had already evacuated. One person was treated by EMS on scene but didn’t have to be taken to hospital. No other injuries have been reported.
The fire seemed to start on the south side of the mobile home but its cause is still under investigation. The fire department was able to keep the damage to one unit.
