Crime Prevention hosting two sessions on internet safety for your teens

Parents with concerns about how their children are using the internet will have an opportunity to get a better understanding at a pair of information sessions this week.

Kristy Ung is a Community Education Facilitator with Crime Prevention.

She says the two sessions will have a variety of different information about keeping kids safe online.

“Wednesday night is going to be more of an expert talking specifically about social networking sites, how the teens are using the sites. Thursday it’s going to be more about local trends, what we’re seeing here in Grande Prairie. That will be an opportunity for people to ask experts about what they’re seeing.”

Both sessions start at 7 pm at City on 99th and are free to attend, though registration before hand is required.
