Wanted man may have recently lived in Worsley

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a man believed with possible ties to the Peace region. 55 year old Rupert William Burr is accused of sexual crimes that happened in Prince George more than 20 years ago. He’s been wanted in B.C. since 1998 for offences from 1993.

RCMP say they don’t know of his whereabouts, but that he was born in Alberta and may have lived in Worsley as recently as 2015. That’s why the warrant was extended. He may be using a fake name, as he’s likely aware he’s wanted by police.

Police don’t have a current description or photo of the suspect. In 1994 he was described as Caucasian, 6’0″, and 221 pounds with green eyes, brown hair, and scars on his left wrist and the bridge of his nose.

Anyone with information on where he may be is asked to contact Prince George RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
