A man has died after being stabbed Wednesday afternoon. RCMP responded to a Ranchlands apartment around 4:30 p.m. and remain on the scene of the homicide.
Police found the man injured and he was taken to hospital, where he shortly passed away. One suspect is in custody and it’s believed the attack was not random.
The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has been called in to take over the investigation from the Grande Prairie detachment. No further details have been released at this time.
This is Grande Prairie’s third homicide of the year. Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
