Another edition of Stompede is upon us

The 37th edition of Stompede officially kicks off on Wednesday with the first day of chuckwagon racing and rodeo events at Evergreen Park. President Terri-Ellen Sudnik says this is a special year for Stompede, as the one millionth visitor in the event’s history is expected to go through the gates at some point this week.

“Isn’t that something.  Over 37 years!  We sort of thought it might happen during our 40th year but we are happy to celebrate it this year.”

One significant change this year will see mini-chuckwagon races take place nightly between the end of the WCA races and the start of the WPCA heats.
