Child pornography investigation leads to charges in Dawson Creek

A man now living in Dawson Creek is facing child pornography charges. Police in Abbotsford, B.C. got a tip in August about a resident uploading photos of children being sexually abused online.

41 year old Jason Christopher Reedel was identified as a suspect, but he moved to Dawson Creek as the investigation was ongoing. Abbotsford Police teamed up with Dawson Creek RCMP and searched a home on October 25th. Officers seized a laptop and file storage devices that gave them the evidence they needed.

Reedel was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and importing/distributing child pornography. He was previously convicted of a similar charge in Langley, B.C. in 2014.
