Trial set for Grande Prairie man facing drugs and weapons charges

A trial has been set for a Grande Prairie man who is facing drugs and weapons charges. 29 year old Blaze Vongrad is one of three people who were allegedly caught with 30 thousand dollars worth of drugs and a sawed off shot gun on April 17th, 2015. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams’ turned up cocaine, meth, fentanyl, illicit prescription pills as well as a cocaine press and cash at a home southeast of the city. Vongrad is facing handful of charges related to drugs and weapons and he will go to trial on November 21st, 2017.

Cody Lypowich was sentenced to three months in jail and Erin Mcdonald’s charges have been dropped.
