Trial set for man accused in Prairie Mall fight

One of the men arrested in connection to the Prairie Mall shooting will be going to trial in March. A single shot was fired in the food court after an argument between five men in September. Three people were injured including two bystanders that were grazed by a bullet.

33 year old Doug Wheeler has been charged with assault and will go to trial in Grande Prairie on March 28th, 2017. 49 year old Richard Vaillancourt will make his first court appearance on a robbery charge on November 28th.

23 year old Liban Musse is accused in the shooting itself and is back in court on December 5th.

The incident also ended with 24 year old Tevin Watson and 25 year old Kyle Tyler-Ross being charged with failing to comply with conditions.
