Seven people have been arrested in a large drug bust that involved four different homes in Grande Prairie. ALERT’s organized crime and gang team searched the homes Wednesday morning and found 232 grams of cocaine, 78 grams of crack cocaine and 40 grams of marijuana, along with heroin and meth. They also turned up $6,700 cash, two shotguns, and a loaded handgun with its serial number defaced.
Inspector Chad Coles says they also found three young children living in one of the homes close to a loaded, unsecured shotgun and a large amount of cocaine. The kids are now in the care of a family member and their parents were arrested. Their names are not being released.
Drugs and firearms charges are being laid against 27 year old John Wilson, 26 year old Lydia Dafoe, 23 year old Ronjot Singh Dhami, 32 year old Allen Connal, and 19 year old Karman Singh Grewal. Grewal was also busted in an ALERT investigation in October.
