Wanted man continues to evade police

Peace Regional RCMP thought they had a lead in their search for Malcolm Henry Testawits, but have again come up empty handed. They got a tip Tuesday afternoon that he had stolen gas in a rural area outside of Brownvale.

Officers heard the wanted man may have been in a specific rural area in the Grimshaw and Peace River area. However, he wasn’t found and remains at large.

Police have been on the hunt for Testawits since October 25th, when he was involved in an accident in the rural Fairview area. There was an altercation with an officer and a shot was fired. Testawits reportedly fled in an unmarked police cruiser and later stole another vehicle.

Testawits is considered armed and dangerous and if seen, shouldn’t be approached. He has more than 30 warrants out for his arrest, including assault of a police officer and robbery.
