Fans appreciated at Hythe Speedway season opener

Sunday was Fan Appreciation Day at Hythe Motor Speedway, and the fans weren’t disappointed all weekend long.

Races were held for all classes of cars.

Ken Lett was the big winner in the Legends category, taking first in both the Saturday and Sunday main events. Richard Durning took second in both, while Dean Thornton took third Saturday and Jarrett King Sunday.

BJ Clark was the big winner in the IMCA Modified category, taking first on Saturday, while his fellow heat race winner Mike Clark placed second, and Calvin Fitch third.

For the mini stock cars, Hayden Rosebush was the Saturday main event winner, followed by Brittany Dunne and Nancy McArthur, while Richard Hildebrand took Sunday, with Calvin Hildebrand and Brittanny Dunne rounding out second and third.

Lastly, Lindsey McIlvride took both the IMCA Stock events.

Glen McIlvride took second on Saturday and third on Sunday, switching places with Josh Wallace, who moved up from third Saturday to second Sunday.

Jamie Morris placed fourth both days.

The next races at Hythe Speedway are set for June 21st and 22nd.
