Three schools in the Peace region will see solar panels as part of their renovations. The province has announced 36 school projects currently in the planning phase to have the panels included as a way to tackle climate change.
St. Kateri in Grande Prairie, Glenmary in Peace River, and Menno-Simons in Cleardale will now have the panels added in to their modernizations and additions. The projects are expected to be done between January and September 2018.
The government will also be providing funds to use to system for educational purposes. $250 to $750,000 will be spent on each school.
