Centaurs rugby season set to begin this weekend

Grande Prairie Centaurs’ division 2 rugby team heads on the road to Edmonton tomorrow to kick off their 2014 season. Player Dave Logan says it is great to have a division two team again this year, after running just a div 3 club last year.

“By getting back into the second division, we have noticed that those guys that really did not want to compete just for the social aspect, are coming back now because they can go up against a higher caliber of competition.”

The division 2 Centaurs will face the LA Crude tomorrow afternoon. The lady Sirens are in St Albert tomorrow afternoon, while the div 3 Centaurs open their season next weekend in Spruce Grove against the Parkland Sharks.
