Man pleads guilty after being caught with cocaine in his mouth

A man has plead guilty to two charges after being arrested with what’s believed to be cocaine in his mouth. Grande Prairie Rural RCMP were on a routine patrol south of the city around 3 a.m. Saturday September 3rd, 2016 when the suspect was spotted walking south on 93rd Street near 42nd Avenue. As officers stopped to talk to him, they determined he was hiding the drugs.

29 year old Blake Dean Murphy was already on parole and was sentenced to 15 days in jail with 8 days credit for time served. He plead guilty to obstructing a police officer and possession of a controlled substance on September 7th, 2016 in Grande Prairie Court.
