UPDATE: Fog advisory has ended for the region.
Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for the region. They say areas of dense fog have formed through parts of western and central Alberta. They add that the fog is expected lift later this morning.
EC also adds that visibility could be reduced significantly and travel is expected to be more difficult due to fog.
