UPDATE: RCMP looking for man with outstanding warrants

UPDATE: RCMP are looking for a man with several outstanding warrants that is avoiding police. Officers say that 31 year old Malcolm Henry Testawits was involved in an altercation and officer involved shooting in the afternoon of Tuesday October 25th. Officers say they would like to speak to him about his relation to the incident. RCMP say Testawits is frequently in the Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek area.

In April 2015, Testawits was charged with robbery with a firearm. RCMP responded to an armed robbery of an ATB Financial Agency in Berwyn and with further investigation, charges were laid against Testawits and Christopher Trevor Lawrence.

Testawits is set to stand for a trial with a jury from March 14-17, 2017. Lawrence is set to go to trial on January 12th to 13th, 2017.

An investigation is underway after a Fairview RCMP officer fired his gun during an altercation. The officer was responding to a vehicle collision in the afternoon of Tuesday October 25th in the rural area of Fairview. The driver of the vehicle and police got into a disagreement. The man left the area in an unmarked police car which was later found. Police also learned that another car had been allegedly taken by the same man from another person. It was found near Dawson Creek but the man has not been located.
