Strategy being launched for economic development and growth in the county

The County of Grande Prairie is preparing for future growth and economic development. They are working to put together a Growth and Economic Development Strategy with the help of ParioPlan Inc., Tessellate Inc. and Associated Engineering Alberta. The county would also be looking for community engagement into what the strategy would look like.

County Reeve Leanne Beaupre says residents, businesses and potential investors are crucial for the movement of the plan. She says it will play a role in the area for the next 50 years when it comes to living, working and play.

The plan will aim for a sustainable economic environment in the county as well as prepare the area for growth.

The final draft of the strategy is set to be complete by December 2017.
