The Transportation Safety Board has wrapped up its on-site investigation of the plane crash that killed former premier Jim Prentice and three others.
Investigators have examined the wreckage scene outside of Kelowna and have collected all of the data they need. What’s left of the aircraft will be removed by helicopter and taken to a facility for further analysis.
In the coming days and weeks, the team will look at drone images and examine the instrumentation. Investigators will also gather information about weather conditions and air traffic control communications, and examine maintenance records and the pilot’s training. Simulations will also be done.
