Grande Prairie’s Paulette Patterson receives Alberta Order of Excellence

A Grande Prairie woman is being recognized today for her work in the community. Paulette Patterson is receiving the Alberta Order of Excellence, which is the highest honour the province can offer a citizen.

Patterson is known for her volunteer work in all areas of Grande Prairie including coaching, judging 4-H public speaking competitions and raising funds for various causes. Among many other things, she was the founding President of the Grande Prairie John Howard Society and the founding Director of PACE Crisis Line. She was also involved in fundraising for Odyssey House, a charity she calls her favourite.

Since the Order was created, there have been 157 Albertans added to the list.
