Composite Warriors headed to rugby championship

It will be the Grande Prairie Composite Warriors versus the North Peace Secondary Roughnecks of Fort St. John in the Peace Country High School Rugby Championship.
The Dawson Creek team made a late comeback, but the Warriors held off to win 52-14.
The St. Joe’s Celtic suffered a heartbreaking 27-24 loss to Fort St. John, although with the B.C. teacher’s strike next week, their spot in the championship is at risk.
The finals are tentatively set for next Thursday at Peace Wapiti Academy.
Their girls team automatically advanced to next week’s finals after Dawson Creek couldn’t field a team for semis.
