UPDATE: Missing High Level woman home safe

UPDATE: RCMP say Karen Ehtchillay has returned home safe.

A woman who used to live in Grande Prairie has been reported missing from High Level. 33 year old Karen Ehtchillay has not been seen or heard from since 8 a.m. October 15th.

Her family says she has left home for several days in the past, but they’re normally able to find her quickly. Ehtchillay moved to Grande Prairie in 2011 and only left this September. However, it’s not believed she would have returned here as the family she lived with in the Swan City also moved to High Level.

Ehtchillay is described as First Nations, 5’6″, 150 to 160 pounds with brown eyes and long black hair that’s normally worn in a pony tail on the top of her head. She was last seen wearing jeans and a denim coat with a hood.

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
