100th Avenue downtown will reopen Friday to at least one lane of traffic. The intersection at 101st Street has been closed since September 25th so crews can replace water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure in the area.
The section of road between 100th Street and 102nd was scheduled to reopen on Sunday, but the City says last weekend’s weather caused a delay. More work is planned for the area over the next several weeks.
Wapiti Gravel Suppliers will be installing electrical and irrigation systems, cutouts for trees to be planted, and sidewalks. Surface work is reportedly 90 per cent next week, and the contractor expects their winter shut down to happen in the coming weeks.
101st Street between 99th and 100th Avenue remains closed for surface work.
