Abused dog dumped at High Prairie landfill prompts animal cruelty investigation

RCMP are investigating a case of animal cruelty, after an abused dog was dumped at a landfill in High Prairie. The collie cross was found at the Peavine Waste Transfer Site on Sunday, October 2nd and was taken to the High Prairie Vet Clinic for treatment.

It was reportedly suffering from broken bones, and had its muzzle taped shut. The puppy had to be put down.

Police are looking for any witnesses or someone who may know what happened to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP detachment in High Prairie.
