A woman was mugged in the Avondale area on Friday, and RCMP are searching for her attacker. She was in the area of 101st Street and 112th Avenue around 12:45 p.m. when she was approached by an unknown man who demanded she give him her purse and cell phone.
He then grabbed her bag and assaulted the woman, before running away westward. The victim was treated by EMS for minor injuries.
The suspect is described as Caucasian between 30 and 45 years old. He had scruffy facial hair and was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who has information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
