Increased operating costs brought on by more children accessing their programming has led the Cool-Aid Society to make some cuts. Executive Director Helen Ficocelli says that includes reduced hours of operation.
“We used to be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6pm. Now we will be open from 8:30 to 5. And we will not be offering any tween or teen programming.”
Ficocelli admits having to make the cuts goes against the purpose of their program. But she adds the society is currently facing an operating deficit of 50 thousand dollars.
