As it gets closer to the winter season in the region, the inevitable clearing of windrows come to mind. The snow removal system that is currently used came into effect two years ago.
It leaves most residents to take care of clearing their driveway openings on their own. While this may be doable for some citizens, anyone who feels incapable and has no one to handle it for themselves can apply to have their windrow cleared by the City.
Residents who received help last year need to reconfirm that they will need help again this year. They can call the Citizen Contact Centre to confirm details for the upcoming winter.
New applications for the Windrow Removal Program can be submitted to City Hall with ID and proof of address.
