Two charged after being tracked down by Police Dog Services

A 26 year old woman and 31 year old man from Grande Prairie have been charged after being tracked down by Police Dog Services.

At around 8:30 am last Thursday, Beaverlodge RCMP received reports of a stolen vehicle near Valhalla and area residents had seen the vehicle driving around the area. Police say the vehicle was abandoned north west of Valhalla and two people got away on foot.

Police Dog Services tracked down Hope Marlene Knight shortly after but couldn’t find the other suspect right away. The investigation lead officers to another location where the police dog services found another trail and found Chance Thomas Vanpeteghan.

Knight and Van Pete Ghan face numerous charges. They will appear in court on October 20th.
