Calgary’s Mayor Naheed Nenshi will be in Grande Prairie Thursday to attend two events.
He will present to around 1000 grade 10 students from two Grande Prairie Public Schools. His presentation will include experiences from when he was a student as well as a municipal leader. The students will gather for the presentation at Charles Spencer High School at 1:00 pm.
Nenshi will also be presenting at the Nourish the North Wine & Auction on Thursday evening. The event is put on by the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta and held at the Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre. On top of being a fundraiser, this event is meant for connecting community members.
The event kicks off at 6:30 pm with $150 a person for tickets or $1200 for a table of 8 people.
