Accused Prairie Mall shooter making first court appearance

The man accused of injuring three people in a shooting at the Prairie Mall is expected to make his first appearance in court today. 23 year old Liban Musse was arrested by Calgary Police at a hotel in that city Thursday morning.

He’s charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of restricted firearm with ammunition.

An Alberta-wide warrant for Musse’s arrest was issued last Monday, three days after the shooting that seriously injured another man. Two innocent bystanders were also grazed. It’s believed the original victim and the person who shot them were connected in some way.
