Grande Prairie fundraiser breaks record for the Ronald McDonald House

The Shoot for the House fundraiser in Grande Prairie raised a record breaking amount in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities this year.

This is the fourth year the fundraiser has been run in the region and collected $230,000 for the charity. Shoot for the House has become the Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Alberta’s largest one day fundraiser.

The event includes a breakfast, clay shooting, and dinner with auction. When it first started 4 years ago, it had 40 participants. This year it had over 350 raising funds during the event.

Over the last year, there has been over 55 families from Grande Prairie and area utilize the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton while their children were in medical facilities.
