RCMP in Fort St. John have seized two semi-automatic rifles, and believe on of them may have been used in a confrontation Monday. Witnesses called 9-1-1 to report a pickup truck that had cut off a car in an intersection.
Once the vehicles topped, two men wearing grey hoodies, blue jeans and bandanas over their faces jumped out of the truck and ran towards the other vehicle. The pickup’s passenger was armed with what looked like an SKS rifle and pointed it at one of the people in the car. The driver was able to reverse and get away before anything else happened.
Tips from the public led officers to a multi-unit building where they seized two SKS rifles and prohibited magazines. Anyone with information is asked to come forward to police or Crime Stoppers.
