The section on 99th Avenue closed downtown now won’t re-open until next Monday. Construction between 100th and 102nd Street started on September 3rd and was supposed to wrap up on the 5th, but the city blamed bad weather and other delays for not being done in time.
The opening date was pushed to Friday, but it now looks like crews will need the rest of the weekend to finish up storm, sanitary and water tie-in work. Traffic is now expected to return to single-lane starting September 12th.
Detours are available on 101st Avenue and 97th.
