The 2016 Paralympics are officially underway in Rio, and for the third straight games the Peace region will be represented by Robert Hedges. Better known as “Bo”, Hedges originally hails from Wonowon, just north of Fort St. John on the Alaska Highway.
The 36 year old is the co-captain of the men’s wheelchair basketball team, and was with the squad when they wont a silver medal in Beijing in 2008 and a gold medal in London in 2012. The basketball tournament gets started on Thursday with a game against Spain.
