Two fraudsters are reportedly posing as Aquatera employees to get into homes in Grande Prairie. Residents have reported two men approaching their residence, saying they want to talk about water and air quality and to check their furnace.
Aquatera Communications Manager Chelsea Lewis maintains the only time the utility would need to come inside your home is to change a water meter, and in that case, an appointment will always be booked ahead of time. The suspects were driving a white SUV with Aquatera decals, and allegedly wore lanyards with photo ID as part of the scam.
Any similar activity should be reported to RCMP.
