Grande Prairie A&W top fundraiser for fourth straight year

For the fourth year in a row, an A&W in Grande Prairie has been the top fundraiser in Canada for the annual Burgers to Beat MS campaign. This year, the local restaurant brought in $44,000 on August 25th.

Those funds are just part of the record breaking $1.75 million raised in 2016 that will fund research through the multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. This is the 8th year for the campaign, which brings in a dollar from each Teen Burger sold across the country in one day.

GP first reached the top spot in 2013, raising nearly $25,000 and earning them a visit from national spokesperson Allen Lulu. $36,000 was raised in 2014, followed by nearly $40,000 last year.
