Many community members will come together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the railway to Sexsmith.
The event will include sports and athletics that are themed around the year 1916 which include three legged races and sack racing.
Adults will have a chance to try their hand at a turkey shoot contest which will have groups of 10 compete for a frozen turkey.
Tours will take attendees to the working blacksmith shop, Paszkowski house nad Anderson hall.
The City of Grande Prairie, the Town of Sexsmith, the County of Grande Prairie, the MD of Greenview, CN Rail and the Grande Prairie and District Oldtimers Association have joined forces to bring the event alongside the Sexsmith Elks and the Sexsmith Museum.
The event runs from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on October 16th on Main Street in Sexsmith and the Sexsmith Civic Centre on 99th Avenue.
