RCMP have arrested two men believed to be responsible for assaulting six people. They were taken into custody Sunday at a hotel in Slave Lake.
One victim was found there and taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Three other victims were found in serious condition at a home on the Gift Lake Metis Settlement earlier in the night, and police heard about two more from an earlier incident involving gun and vehicle-related offences.
29 year old Keith Carifelle of Cadotte Lake and 20 year old Dwayne Cardinal from Peace River are facing aggravated assault charges, among several other offences. Both men remain in custody and will appear in High Prairie court on August 22nd.
